Chelsea Medicine and Laser specializes in medical treatment and physician-managed cosmetic procedures, laser hair and tattoo removal, and liposuction. Our highly trained clinicians are sensitive to our patients’ desired cosmetic results. 

Our office provides preventative medicine, medical treatment, and physician managed cosmetic services. We pride ourselves in being highly trained, available, up to date clinicians who are sensitive to our patients’ specific needs and medical conditions. Our Doctors:

Diane Howlin, MD, FACP, Carla Bregni-Page, DO, and Nicole Tromble-Short, MD are board certified primary care physicians who provide ongoing medical care for patients ages 15 and up. Our focus is on preventive medicine, acute conditions, and managing ongoing or chronic illness.

Dr. Howlin is a native of Michigan and graduated from the University of Munich medical school in 1987.  This allowed for a unique education of European trends in medicine and natural ways of treating the body, many of which eventually came to the United States.  Internal medicine internship and residency were completed at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 2000, she became a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a prestigious award for internal medicine physicians and is currently listed as one of America’s top doctors.

Dr. Howlin has practiced internal medicine in Chelsea Michigan for over nineteen years, six of which was for the University of Michigan Department of Internal Medicine as clinical assistant professor of medicine.  Her philosophy in medicine is a caring atmosphere with up to date, evidence-based medicine. Due to frequent requests and a long-standing interest in dermatological care, she added laser, IPL and aesthetic services to the practice in 2005.  Being an internist is unique in allowing the depth of understanding of a person’s health that can make these procedures safer than having them in other settings. She has trained extensively around the country and internationally under experts in the field who invented these procedures (Drs. Carruthers in Vancouver) and is now a clinical preceptor for laser education for Lumenis and a certified Botox and Restylane injector. Dr. Howlin is an advanced injector of Botox, utilizing the medication for unusual uses of pelvic floor muscle spasm (obturator), migraine, hyperhidrosis, anal fissures.  Dr. Howlin also serves as an expert witness for the State of Michigan in internal medicine cases, both criminal and licensure.

Dr. Bregni-Page, DO offers her expertise in osteopathic manipulation therapy in addition to laser and cosmetic services and primary care.  Dr. Carla Bregni-Page is a native of Farmington Hills, Michigan and prior to medical school, she was a certified physician’s assistant. This provided valuable patient care experience and inspired her to go to medical school. She attended Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and did her family medicine internship and residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Bregni-Page is board certified and recertified.

After having a successful practice for eight years in Fenton, Michigan, Dr. Bregni-Page relocated to Chelsea and is now accepting new patients. She strongly believes in health and wellness and practices preventive medicine. Using her knowledge in family medicine and her skills in osteopathic manual medicine, she approaches her patients in a holistic manner. She has advanced training in osteopathic manipulation and incorporates manual medicine in her everyday practice.

Dr. Bregni-Page has specialized training in aesthetic medicine and is an experienced laser services, Botox, Restylane and Juvederm injector. She also performs sclerotherapy with the latest sclerosants from Europe.

Dr. Tromble-Short, MD is very excited to be providing primary care to teens, women, men, and seniors in the Chelsea area. A native of Michigan who received her medical degree from Wayne State University, Dr. Tromble-Short received her post-graduate internal medicine residency training at St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor. During her time at St. Joe’s, she also earned the distinction of Chief Resident and Fellow of Internal Medicine. When not seeing patients in Chelsea, Dr. Tromble-Short teaches residents at St. Joe’s. Currently, she also works at Eastern Michigan University in student and women’s health. Dr. Tromble-Short enjoys providing primary care procedures, and is actively pursuing additional training to meet patients’ needs in the office. This year, Dr. Tromble-Short is becoming certified as a provider for the care of menopausal women’s special needs through the NAMS foundation.

Dr. Tromble-Short has a broad range of experience in the medical field and has been heavily involved with organizations that care for those in need. She has a special interest in helping others, as demonstrated by her rich background in volunteering. She is currently a volunteer for the Women’s Health Mentoring Program at Wayne State University. She has also volunteered for Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Genesys Hospice/Home Care, Genesys Hospice Children’s Bereavement Program, and the McLaren Regional Medical Center Emergency Center and Infectious Disease Department.

In her free time, Dr. Tromble-Short enjoys spending time with family, kayaking, running, reading novels, remodeling her home, and traveling to beautiful beaches and cultures.
Dr. Tromble-Short is currently accepting new primary care patients, ages 15 and up.

Chelsea Medicine and Laser specializes in laser and non-surgical aesthetic medicine and skin care for patients of all ages. We differ from a typical medical spa in that we are a physician-operated, full-time medical practice where doctors are present during all office hours and do all injections and Lipotherme laser procedures personally.
