Jeff not only brings his knowledge of the cutting edge repair techniques and processes, but has become very well respected by insurers and customers alike. Our repair process:
1. Damage assessment:
One of our trained professional estimators will assess the damage to your vehicle and give you a written explanation of the work that will be performed to your vehicle while at our shop.
2. Insurance authorization:
Your insurance company will receive a copy of your estimate and photos of the damage. They will determine if the vehicle is fixable and notify us of their decision. Once they have authorized repairs we can continue to work on your vehicle.
3. Initial teardown:
In this process, our technicians will start taking your vehicle apart at the point of damage, to reveal any hidden damage that may not have been visible during the initial damage assessment. The insurance company may need to be contacted once again at this point for further authorization and negotiation.
4. Structural & Body repairs:
When the insurance company has been notified and approved all damages, we can then continue to repair both structural and cosmetic damages. This includes the repair and alignment of the exterior sheet metal. We will also be ordering the replacement parts at this time.
5. Refinish process:
In this process the factory finish is restored to all of the damaged panels, starting with prepping the panels with a sealant and primer to ensure proper adhesion of the color and clear coat to bring your vehicle back to pre- accident condition.
6. Re-assemble:
Your vehicle will now return to the body technician for final assembly. This step includes checking your vehicles computer monitoring systems and a road test for drivability.
7. Complete detail:
During the repair process your vehicle may acquire dust from our shop. We detail and clean the vehicle inside and out before we return it!
